Prescrire's annual review of drug packaging in 2011

Patients need to have easy access to high quality care. Drug packaging represents one aspect of quality care. Every year, Prescrire publishes a review of its systematic analyses of the packaging of the drugs examined in its "New Products" section. These analyses regularly lead us to issue warnings, when we identify packaging items that are a potential source of medication errors or serious incidents, although safe, tried and true options are available.
