Prescrire's annual drug packaging review sums up the noteworthy points covered over the past year.
Prescrire examines all the packaging items from the drugs reviewed in the New Products section of its French edition every month. The packaging items that draw attention or could result in medication errors are pointed out.
After publication, a specialised team, the Prescrire Packaging Working Group, compiles and consolidates these analyses. This forms the basis for the yearly packaging review, which brings together the noteworthy points published during the preceding year, along with any additional information that is useful to complete the overall picture.
