Annual Prescrire Awards for 2020: 3 winning drugs, including the first "Pilule d'Or" in 6 years

Prescrire AwardsThe independent French medical journal Prescrire has published its annual Awards for drugs, drug packaging and information provided by drug companies in 2020. Two drugs made the "Honours List", and Prescrire's "Pilule d'Or" (Golden Pill) was awarded for the first time in 6 years.

Every month, the independent French journal Prescrire publishes systematic, independent analyses of the available evidence regarding new drugs, newly authorised indications for drugs already on the market, and new forms or new dosages of existing drugs. The goal is to single out, amidst the multitude of new products, those which deserve to be added to the list of useful therapeutic options, or ought to be used in place of other drugs.

The annual Prescrire Awards recognize drugs, drug packaging and drug information provided by drug companies that have been singled out for notice by Prescrire's editorial staff.

The 2020 Drug Awards included a "Pilule d'Or" for Ervebo° (Ebola rVSV-Zebov vaccine) (read more > HERE).
