 COVID-19  In the November edition of Prescrire International: what do the data indicate regarding the value of a booster dose for the general population? And what are the implications for the prevention of symptomatic covid-19?

  •  JUDGEMENT RESERVED  Weak data suggest that covid-19 vaccines become less effective at preventing Sars-CoV-2 infection, especially infection with the Delta variant, during the months following vaccination. As of early September 2021, the priority is still to vaccinate (without a booster) all eligible persons who are not yet fully vaccinated, while continuing to apply the other preventive measures, in particular those aimed at reducing transmission, such as physical distancing, hand and respiratory hygiene, and the use of face masks.
