In-utero exposure to lamotrigine: better elucidated consequences

 Adverse Effects  In 2019, lamotrigine was the most thoroughly evaluated antiepileptic drug in terms of the consequences of in-utero exposure, and it seemed to be the least teratogenic antiepileptic. The rate of major malformations associated with doses below 300 mg per day was similar to that observed in the general population. In the long term, in-utero exposure to lamotrigine seemed to increase the incidence of neurodevelopmental disorders. What more is known in 2026 about the consequences of in-utero exposure to lamotrigine?
