High cumulative doses of opioids during pregnancy: long-term neuropsychiatric harms in exposed children

 Adverse Effects  When a pregnant woman experiences pain that is severe or not relieved by paracetamol, an opioid is sometimes justified. In 2024, new data were published on the long-term neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric harms of in-utero exposure to opioids.
